CENTER ICE OF DUPAGE
This Summer I am introducing a new Camp called Insanity Camp, for players ages 2002-1993. The Camp’s curriculum will focus equally on on-ice and off-ice development.
Insanity Camp will run the week of June 17 for 5 straight days. Each day will include 60 minutes on the ice and 60 minutes off the ice.
I will hold my 10th annual Just Defensemen Camp July 22-26, 2013 at the Edge in Bensenville, IL. The Camp will focus solely on skills and concepts for defensemen and will provide specific instruction for improvement in many defenseman specific areas. Skills and positioning will be broken down, taught and drilled in specific detail, providing development for every player.
I have always believed that finding good defensemen can be a coach’s most difficult task, and as a result, a good defenseman can make any team he tries out for.
I believe the primary characteristics of a good defenseman include an ability to win a large share of your 1 on 1s, and an ability to effectively pass and move the puck up the ice. If a defenseman can be proficient in these two areas he will be an extremely effective defenseman. My Camp will focus on the skills and positional detail necessary to develop these two critical attributes for defensemen.

The High Intensity Training Program (HIT), operated by LARRY PEDRIE, will return again this Summer and begin on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. The program is designed for the elite level travel player that is serious and dedicated about his development, and is willing to commit the time and effort over the summer to become a significantly improved hockey player. This program will provide ice time, strong competition, and elite level coaching. HIT will accept only players with travel hockey experience who are serious and dedicated hockey players.
